Integrator note — what this module is and what it needs
The Siemens 6SL3341-7TE37-5AA0 is a combined Active Interface Module (AIM) and Active Line Module (ALM) in the SINAMICS S120 Chassis-2 format, rated for 450 kW at 745 A DC output from a 380-480 V three-phase AC supply. This is the regenerative front end for a multi-axis drive system — it rectifies line power to a regulated 510-720 V DC bus and handles harmonic mitigation and power factor correction internally. The 745 A DC rating means it can support a substantial DC-link load, typically feeding several motor modules downstream in a common-bus configuration. Product class D (made to order, requiring engineering services) means this unit is not a standard off-the-shelf item. Each build is configured to the customer's specifications, so lead time and exact configuration are confirmed at order placement against an RFQ.
The 745 A DC output at 510-720 VDC sets the bus capacity for the entire drive group. A 450 kW rating at the infeed means the module can supply continuous power to a mix of motor modules whose combined shaft power stays under that figure, accounting for losses. The Active Line Module topology provides regenerative braking capability back to the line, which is essential for applications with overhauling loads — cranes, centrifuges, test stands — where the energy from deceleration must go somewhere. Input voltage range of 380-480 V three-phase covers the common European and North American industrial mains. The regulated DC output of 510-720 VDC is the standard SINAMICS S120 DC-link voltage range, compatible with all S120 Motor Modules and Smart Line Modules in the same family.
