The Siemens 6SL3511-0PE24-0AM0 is a SINAMICS G110D AC drive rated for 380-500 V 3AC with a high-overload duty of 4.0 kW — that means 200% current for 3 seconds, 150% for 60 seconds, and 100% for 300 seconds, sized for applications where short bursts of torque are needed to break away a stuck load or accelerate quickly. It ships with an integrated Class A EMC filter and a built-in braking chopper, so you can skip the external filter for most installations and handle regenerative braking without an add-on resistor for light-to-moderate deceleration profiles. The drive carries an IP65 degree of protection — the enclosure is sealed against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets, so it can be mounted directly on a machine frame or in a washdown zone without a separate cabinet.
Fieldbus and integration
Communication is handled through the onboard AS-Interface bus interface, which simplifies wiring in a distributed sensor/actuator network — no separate fieldbus gateway required for AS-i. The drive does not include an operator panel; parameterization is done via AS-Interface or through the optional BOP interface module. Ambient temperature range is -10 to +40 °C without derating.
