Drive ratings and overload profile
The Siemens 6SL3511-0PE27-5AM0 is a SINAMICS G110D AC drive rated for 380-500 V 3AC input, ±10%, 47-63 Hz. It delivers 7.5 kW under high overload duty: 200% for 3 seconds, 150% for 60 seconds, and 100% for 300 seconds. That overload curve matters if you're sizing for a pump or fan that needs a starting torque spike — the 200% for 3 s handles the inrush, and the 150% for 60 s covers a stalled-rotor clearing window. Ambient temperature range is -10 to +40 °C.
Enclosure and deployment
This drive carries IP65 protection, meaning the enclosure is dust-tight and protected against low-pressure water jets from any direction. That's a washdown-capable rating — suitable for food-and-beverage lines, washdown zones, or outdoor installations where a standard IP20 drive would need a separate cabinet. Dimensions are 210 x 450 x 240 mm (HxWxD), frame size FSC. No operator panel is included.
Integrated features and bus interface
The drive comes with an integrated Class A EMC filter and a built-in braking chopper. The Class A filter means it meets conducted-emission limits for industrial environments (EN 61800-3 Category C2 or C3, depending on cable length). The braking chopper lets you dump regenerative energy from a decelerating load into an external resistor — essential for vertical loads or high-inertia conveyors. Communication is via AS-Interface, a bit-level fieldbus common in material-handling and conveyor systems for connecting sensors and actuators without a separate I/O rack.
