Power Module for Distributed Drives
The Siemens 6SL3517-1BE16-3AM0 is a SINAMICS G110M Power Module PM240M with an integrated Class A EMC filter, housed in an IP65-rated enclosure for direct machine-mount installation without a separate cabinet. It delivers 2.2 kW under high overload conditions — 200% for 3 seconds, 150% for 57 seconds, 100% for 240 seconds — on a 380-480 V 3-phase supply at 47-63 Hz. The FSB frame size (135 x 181 x 309 mm, HxWxD) accepts an SD/MMC card for parameter cloning and operates from -10 to +55 °C ambient. Note: this module ships without a Control Unit; a separate CU (e.g., CU240M-2) is required for fieldbus or I/O control.
Mounting & Integration
The IP65 enclosure allows the module to be mounted directly on the machine frame or motor — no control cabinet needed for the power stage itself. The FSB frame footprint (181 mm wide) accommodates M5 gland-plate entries for the motor and supply cables. Ambient temperature derating applies above 55 °C; ensure free air circulation around the heatsink fins. The SD/MMC card slot simplifies commissioning: clone parameters from a pre-configured card to avoid manual entry on each unit.
