The Siemens 6SL3525-0PE25-5AA0 is a SINAMICS G120D PM250D Power Module — a spare part for distributed drive installations. It delivers 5.5 kW under high overload (200% for 3 s, 150% for 60 s, 100% for 300 s) from a 380-480 V AC three-phase supply at 47-63 Hz. The integrated Class A filter and regenerative energy recovery capability mean it can feed braking energy back into the line, which cuts heat dissipation in the cabinet and saves on braking resistors for applications with frequent deceleration or overhauling loads. It ships without a Control Unit; you pair it with a CU2xx-2 series controller over the integrated Drive-CLiQ interface.
The PM250D is the only G120D variant that does line regeneration.
Deployment context
The module measures 210 x 450 x 220 mm (HxWxD) in FSC format. The IP65 rating means it is designed for on-machine mounting — no separate enclosure needed, but you do need to manage the cable glands for the power and Drive-CLiQ connections. The integrated Class A filter covers conducted emissions for European EMC environments; if your site has a sensitive IT or TN-S grounding scheme, verify the leakage current against your RCD threshold before commissioning.
