Distributed servo drive for decentralized motion
The Siemens 6SL3532-6DF71-0RH2 is a SINAMICS S120M distributed servo drive — a motor-integrated drive unit that puts the amplifier right on the motor flange, eliminating the cabinet-mounted drive and long motor cables. Rated torque is 1.00 Nm at 3000 RPM, fed from a DC 600V bus. The absolute encoder is 20-bit, giving fine position feedback without a home cycle on power-up. The IP65 rating on the shaft end and IP67 on the plain shaft mean this drive handles washdown environments — food processing, packaging lines, or any zone where hoses are routine. The holding brake holds the load at standstill, which matters for vertical axes or conveyors that must not back-drive.
Mounting and integration notes
Mounting configurations include IM B5 (flange mount), IM V1, and IM V3 — the B5 flange is the standard face-mount for direct coupling to the load. Natural air cooling means no fan; keep clearance around the housing for convection. The DC 600V input requires a regulated DC bus from a SINAMICS S120 line module or a compatible DC supply.
