The Siemens 6SL3540-6DF71-0RA2 is a SINAMICS S120M distributed servo-drive in the AH48 frame size, delivering 1.3 Nm continuous torque at 3000 Nm rated speed, powered from a 600 VDC bus. It carries a 20-bit absolute encoder for precise position feedback without a homing cycle after power loss — critical for gantry or rotary indexing stations where the mechanical zero must survive a power cycle.
Sealed for washdown duty
The drive body is rated IP65, with the shaft end sealed to IP67. That means it survives direct spray from washdown hoses and temporary immersion at the shaft — suitable for food-and-beverage packaging lines or machine-tool coolant splash zones. Natural air cooling eliminates the need for a separate fan or compressed air purge, simplifying the cabling on a moving axis.
