The 6SL3544-0MB02-1BA0 is a SINAMICS G110M CU240M control unit — the brains for a distributed drive node, designed to pair with a matching G110M Power Module. It handles USS/MODBUS communication, motor control logic, and local I/O for a compact, IP66-rated drive package that can live right on the conveyor or machine frame, not just in a sealed cabinet. The M screw connection variant means field wiring lands on screw terminals rather than spring-cage or push-in connectors — a detail that matters if your panel builder's preference or site standard is screw-clamp terminations for vibration resistance or easier re-termination.
I/O and brake control
Onboard I/O: 4 digital inputs, 2 digital outputs, 2 analog inputs, and 1 fail-safe digital input (F-DI). The F-DI allows a safety-related sensor (like a light curtain or E-stop) to connect directly without an external safety relay, provided the rest of the drive safety function is configured. PTC/KTY connection handles motor temperature feedback — PTC for thermal switch, KTY for a linear temperature sensor.
