What it is and what it does
The Siemens 6SL3562-6DF71-0RB1 is a SINAMICS S120M distributed servo drive in an AH63 frame size. It delivers 5 Nm rated torque at 3000 RPM from a DC 600 V input bus, with a 20-bit absolute encoder for position feedback and natural air cooling. The IP65-rated housing means the drive body and shaft seal withstand washdown — suited for food, beverage, or wet machining lines where a central cabinet drive won't fit.
Mounting and integration
Mounts in IM B5 (flange), IM V1 (vertical shaft up), or IM V3 (vertical shaft down) orientations — the same motor flange pattern as standard IEC servos, so it bolts directly to a gearbox or machine frame. The shaft ships with a fitted key and tolerance N (normal fit). The holding brake holds the load at standstill without a separate mechanical brake resistor.
Lifecycle and sourcing reality
Lifecycle stage is mature. Siemens supports it for existing installations but not for new designs.
