The Siemens 6SL3562-6DF71-0RG2 is a SINAMICS S120M distributed servo-drive in the AH63 frame size. It delivers 5 Nm rated torque at 3000 RPM rated speed, running off a DC 600 V input bus. The drive carries a 20-bit absolute encoder and uses natural air cooling — no fan to clog or fail on a dusty line.
What the IP rating means on the line
The body is rated IP65 and the shaft end IP67. That means the drive housing is sealed against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets from any direction — suitable for washdown zones in food-and-beverage or packaging lines where you hose down the machine. The shaft-end seal is tighter (IP67), so you can submerge the shaft end briefly during cleaning without pulling water into the encoder or bearings. No holding brake on this variant, so the shaft spins free when power is off; if you need a brake to hold a vertical load, this isn't the order code.
Mounting and integration
Supports IM B5 (flange-mounted with through-holes), IM V1 (shaft-down vertical), and IM V3 (shaft-up vertical) mounting orientations. The plain shaft — no keyway — means the coupling or pulley clamps onto the shaft surface. Natural air cooling requires free air movement around the housing; don't box it into a tight enclosure or the thermal rise will derate the torque curve.
