Distributed servo drive for harsh environments
The Siemens 6SL3563-6DF71-0RG2 is a SINAMICS S120M distributed servo drive in the AH63 frame size, delivering 7.1 Nm rated torque at 3000 RPM from a DC 600V bus. The 20-bit absolute encoder gives you position feedback resolution fine enough for multi-axis coordination on a packaging or assembly cell — no homing cycle needed after a power cycle, which shaves time off the startup sequence. Natural air cooling means no fan to clog or fail in dusty environments, and the IP65-rated body (IP67 at the shaft end) lets you mount it directly on a conveyor frame or in a washdown zone without a separate enclosure.
Mounting and integration
The drive supports IM B5 (flange mount), IM V1, and IM V3 orientations, giving you flexibility to tuck it into tight spaces on a machine frame. The plain shaft (no holding brake) means you'll need an external brake or a mechanical stop for vertical-axis loads — factor that into your safety circuit if the application is a Z-axis lift. The absolute encoder interface runs on the S120M backplane communication, so the drive integrates into the SINAMICS S120 drive group via the shared DC link and DRIVE-CLiQ wiring.
