Processor Module Overview
The ABB 1SAP124500R0073 is a PM5072-T-2ETH processor module with onboard I/O: 12 digital inputs at 24 VDC and 8 digital outputs at 0.5 A, plus two configurable I/O channels. It carries 9100 kB of RAM-based user memory for program and tag data. Runs on a 20.4...28.8 V DC supply, so a standard 24 VDC industrial supply works even under light droop. Enclosure is IP20—fit for a clean panel, not a washdown zone.
Onboard I/O and Expansion
The 12 digital inputs are 24 VDC sink/source (field-powered). The 8 digital outputs are rated 0.5 A per channel at 24 VDC—suitable for pilot relays, solenoid valves, and indicator lamps. Two of the I/O points are software-configurable between input and output, giving flexibility for one-off customizations. Three option slots accommodate additional communication, I/O, or technology modules. This lets you scale the system without swapping the base CPU.
