CS31 slave for the fieldbus slice
The ABB 1SAP220500R0001 (DC551-CS31) is an interface module that sits as a slave on a CS31 bus, giving you 8 dedicated 24 VDC digital inputs and another 16 channels you can set as inputs or outputs, each rated for 0.5 A. It runs off a 20.4 to 28.8 VDC supply and its transistor outputs are solid-state, so no relay wear to chase. The configurable I/O ties back to a single 24 VDC rail, keeping power distribution simple inside the panel. Operating temp is 0 to +60 °C with IP20 fingersafe protection — fine for a clean cabinet, but keep it out of the grease line. Input sink current is 5 mA per channel, so it won't load your sensor supply much.
