What this PROFIBUS slice carries
The ABB 1SAP224100R0001 (CI541-DP) is a PROFIBUS DP slave module that packs four analog inputs configurable for voltage, current, or RTD, plus two analog outputs, eight 24 VDC digital inputs, and eight transistor digital outputs each rated 0.5 A, all in one IP20 enclosure. Supply voltage range is 20.4–28.8 VDC, and the module has no Ethernet interface – the only fieldbus is PROFIBUS, so plan your network topology accordingly.
What the ratings mean for your panel
Digital outputs are transistor type, 0.5 A per channel at 24 VDC. The analog inputs support RTD directly, saving an external signal conditioner. The configurable delay time of 0.1–32 ms on the digital inputs lets you debounce contacts in software rather than adding external RC networks.
