PM592-ETH-XC processor module – what it handles
The ABB 1SAP350200R0271 PM592-ETH-XC processor module is the control core of an ABB distributed automation node. It holds 4 MB of user program and data memory (the spec lists 9728 kB total memory) and a 4 GB flashdisk for recipe storage, data logging, or firmware backup. It operates on a supply voltage of 20.4 to 28.8 V DC, rated at 24 V DC, and is built for an ambient temperature range of -30 to +70 °C – wide enough for unheated cabinets or remote enclosures. Connectivity includes one Industrial Ethernet port for plant network integration, two software-configurable RS232/485 ports, and an FBP fieldbus interface for direct I/O bus attachment. A built-in display provides local status and diagnostic information without requiring a programming tool. IP20 protection means the module is designed for installation inside an electrical panel or cabinet. The module has no onboard digital I/O (0 configurable I/O points); all field I/O must be added via expansion modules on the system backplane.
