What it is
The ABB 1SAP422200R0001 is a CI522-series Modbus TCP remote I/O slice. It carries 8 digital inputs (24 V DC sinking), 8 digital outputs (transistor, 0.5 A per channel), and 8 individually configurable DI/DO channels—also 24 V DC at 0.5 A. The supply range is 20.4–28.8 V DC, and the unit draws 5 mA from the 24 V bus.
Panel integration
IP20 enclosure. Mounts on DIN rail; the 24 V DC supply powers both the module logic and the output loads—no separate load supply needed unless you exceed the total output current budget. The configurable I/O channels can be set per-point as input or output via the Modbus configuration registers, giving design flexibility without rewiring.
