Safety channel assignment
The 1SAP484000R0001: This ABB DI581 module gives you 16 digital inputs that can be wired as 16 safe inputs at SIL2 or 8 safe inputs at SIL3 — the jumper configuration on the terminal block decides the channel doubling. The 8 pulse outputs (1-wire) double as test signal sources for direct sensor monitoring, so a single module handles both safety logic and diagnostics without an extra device.

Each input draws 7 mA; delay adjustable 1–500 ms. Ambient range −30 to +70 °C, IP20.
