What the CP630 brings to the panel
The ABB CP630 (1SAP530100R0001) is a 5.7" TFT color touch-screen control panel with a 4:3 aspect ratio and 320x240 pixel resolution, displaying 64k colors. It runs on PB610 Panel Builder 600 software and carries 256 MB DDR RAM for user programs plus 128 MB flash disk for data storage. The front face mounts into a panel cutout and seals to IP66 per IEC 60529, so it handles washdown environments in food, beverage, or pharmaceutical lines without a secondary cover. Power is 24 VDC (18 to 30 V range), drawing 16.8 W typical. Two 100 Mbit Ethernet ports handle plant-network connectivity, and a serial port configures as RS232, RS422, or RS485 for legacy PLC drops. Two USB 2.0 host ports support program uploads or peripheral connections. A hardware real-time clock with battery backup keeps time across power cycles. Operating ambient air temperature is 0 to +50 °C. The front housing is Zamak (zinc alloy), durable for repeated panel access. Password protection with 8 user levels controls screen access — useful for separating operator, maintenance, and engineering views on the same terminal.
Integration notes
Mounts from the front face into a panel cutout — no DIN-rail bracket. The IP66 seal requires a clean, flat panel surface and proper gasket compression. Ethernet and serial cables enter from the rear; plan for at least 100 mm clearance behind the panel for connector access and bend radius.
