12.1" HMI for panel-mount applications
The ABB CP661-WEB (1SAP561200R0001) is a 12.1-inch TFT color touch-screen HMI with LED backlight, 800x600 pixel resolution, and 64k colors — built for front-panel mounting in control cabinets where the operator needs a clear, responsive interface. Rated IP66 on the front face per IEC 60529, it handles washdown and dusty environments without a separate enclosure. Power it with 24 V DC (18 to 30 V range), and it draws 25 W steady-state. Backlight rated for 40,000 hours of continuous service.
Connectivity and memory
Two Ethernet 10/100 Mbit ports handle plant-network and device-level communication; one serial port configures as RS232, RS422, or RS485. Dual USB 2.0 host ports on the front or side (depending on build) let you plug in a keyboard, mouse, or memory stick for recipe uploads and logs. User program runs from 256 MB DDR RAM; user data stores on 256 MB flash disk — enough for a medium-size machine's screens, alarms, and trend buffers. Hardware real-time clock with battery backup keeps timestamps across power cycles.
Security and software
Password protection with eight user levels controls access to screens, parameters, and engineering mode — no extra security module needed. Programming is done via PB610 Panel Builder 600, ABB's own configuration environment. The unit ships with a webserver (V2.3) preloaded, so a browser on the plant LAN can mirror or serve the HMI screen without additional software.
Mechanical and environmental
Front bezel is aluminium; the housing material behind it is unspecified (frame size listed as Undefined), but the IP66 front rating means the seal between bezel and panel cutout is the critical path — take care with gasket compression during installation. Made in Italy.
