The ABB 1SFA895003R7020 is a PST37-series softstarter rated for 37 A in-line connection and 64 A inside delta, on a main circuit voltage of 400 to 690 V AC. It carries a built-in electronic overload protector, so no separate overload relay is needed in the motor branch circuit — one less component to stock and wire.
Screw terminals on the main circuit accept rigid 1 x 10 to 95 mm² cable; the control circuit uses 1 x 2.5 mm² rigid, torqued to 0.5 N·m. The supply circuit also lands on a 1 x 2.5 mm² rigid connection. That covers the full power and control wiring without needing crimp lugs or bootlace ferrules — straight bare copper under the screw. Ramp time is adjustable from 0 to 120 seconds, with an initial voltage during start settable between 30 and 70 %. A step-down voltage special ramp drops from 100 to 30 %. The current limit function clips between 1.5 and 7 times Ie. These give the commissioning engineer enough range to tune the start for a loaded conveyor or a high-inertia fan without swapping hardware.
