The 55 kW at 400 V is the corresponding motor power for a standard 400 V three-phase supply; if your motor nameplate exceeds that, step up to the next PST frame. The inside-delta connection option (, 181 A / 90 kW at 400 V) is available for applications where the softstarter is wired in the delta legs of a six-lead motor, reducing the current through each phase — useful for larger motors without jumping to a bigger frame. The ramp time range of 0 to 120 seconds covers soft starting for most pump, fan, and conveyor loads — set it short for low-inertia loads, longer for high-inertia starts. The initial voltage during start is adjustable from 30 to 70 %, letting you tune the breakaway torque. The current limit function can be set from 1.5 to 7 times the motor rated current (Ie), which protects against jammed loads during start. Built-in electronic overload protection eliminates the need for a separate overload relay in most installations, saving panel space and wiring. The unit also provides run, fault, bypass, and overload signal relays — all dry contacts that can feed a PLC or status lamp.
Main circuit terminals are bars with an 8.5 mm hole — expect to use ring lugs or busbars, not wire ferrules. Control circuit terminals accept 1 x 2.5 mm² rigid and require a tightening torque of 0.5 N·m. The supply circuit connection is also 1 x 2.5 mm² rigid. The unit is designed for panel mounting; the main terminals are IP00, so the enclosure must provide the required protection against accidental contact.
