The ABB 1SFA896215R7000 is a PSRC105 soft starter with voltage ramp, designed to reduce inrush current and mechanical stress during motor start-up. It operates on a fixed ramp time — no field adjustment — so the ramp profile is set at the factory for consistent, repeatable starts. Rated operational voltage spans 208 to 600 V AC at 50/60 Hz, and the UL/CSA horsepower rating is 30 Hp at 200–208 V AC three-phase. The control supply voltage is 100–240 V AC; the control circuit runs on 24 V DC.
Main circuit terminals are bars; connecting capacity is rigid 1 x 0.75 to 2.5 mm². Control circuit tightening torque is 0.6 N·m (5.3 in·lb). The supply circuit accepts rigid 2 x 0.75 to 1.5 mm². The unit includes a run signal relay and a by-pass signal relay, but no fault or overload signal relay. Overload protection is recommended via an external MS495 80–100 unit — the starter itself has no integrated electronic overload. Optional FiledBusPlug communication allows integration into a fieldbus network; the starter is not switchable for inside-delta connection.
