What the ratings mean for fit
The 2x1c/o contact configuration gives two independent changeover outputs, which can be wired to signal a fault to a PLC input and simultaneously drop out a contactor coil — a common setup for motor protection circuits. As a motor load monitor, it continuously measures the current drawn by the motor and trips when the load deviates from the set threshold, catching mechanical jams, belt slips, or pump cavitation before they cause a line-down event.
Deployment context
The CM-LWN series mounts on a standard DIN rail inside the control panel, with screw terminals for the motor current transformer and the control wiring — no special tools or brackets needed. Because it monitors the motor load via an external current transformer (not included), it can be retrofitted into existing motor starters without breaking the main power circuit.
