What this relay does on the panel
The ABB 1SVR730030R3300 (CT-MXS.22) is a multi-function timing relay with five selectable timing modes: asymmetrical on and off delay, impulse on/off, pulse generator starting with on or off, single pulse generator, and on/off delay. That covers most sequence-timing needs in a control panel — conveyor staging, pump alternation, compressor unload cycles, or machine interlock delays — without stocking separate on-delay and off-delay relays. The time range spans 0.05 seconds to 300 hours across 20 selectable ranges (2 x 10 time ranges), so the same part handles both fast cycle-timing and long-duration process holds. Control supply accepts 24-240 VAC or 24-48 VDC with voltage-related triggering to start timing — no separate trigger wire needed on the AC side. Output is DPDT (2-pole changeover) rated at 250 V.
The CT-MXS.22 housing is a compact 22.5 mm wide module — one standard TE slot — so it fits in crowded enclosures alongside contactors and motor starters without eating up rail space. Cage terminals accept 0.2–2.5 mm² wire; strip length 8 mm. No external power supply needed for the timing circuit — the control voltage powers both the relay coil and the timing electronics. That simplifies wiring: just the control supply across A1-A2 and the load circuit through the output contacts.
