What it is and what it does
This is an ABB CM-ESS.2P voltage monitoring relay — a two-phase unit that watches supply voltage on a 24 VAC/DC or 400 VAC line and trips its output if the monitored voltage strays outside a set window. Snaps onto a DIN rail inside a control panel; typical deployment is upstream of a PLC or contactor coil where undervoltage or overvoltage could cause nuisance dropouts or damage.
