Pipe and wall mounting for differential flow service
The ABB 266DSHFSSB3B1V1L1B2 is a differential pressure transmitter from the 266DSH family, built for standard-static differential measurement — the typical duty on orifice plates, venturi runs, and filter-differential drops in process lines. Sensing span is 0.4 to 40 kPa, equivalent to 4 to 400 mbar and 1.6 to 160 inH2O — a low-to-mid DP range well suited to clean gas or low-pressure liquid flow across an orifice, and to level applications where the wet-leg differential sits in that band. Mounting bracket is the pipe/wall style in SS316L, so the body is anchored to the same stainless hardware the process piping carries — consistent corrosion resistance on outdoor or washdown-adjacent skids.
Wetted materials and NACE compliance
The diaphragm and fill fluid are SS316L with silicone oil, and the process flanges/adapters are SS316L horizontal connection with 1/2 in. - 14 NPT-f through adapters — all listed NACE; this combination is the standard pick for sweet-service hydrocarbon and refinery-side measurement where NACE MR0175 conformance is on the datasheet. Bolts and gasket are SS316 with Viton, rated to a maximum working pressure of 16 MPa for the standard-static configuration, and the drain/vent valves are SS316L on the process axis — both flagged NACE in the build string.
Output, display, and housing
Output option 1 carries HART and 4 to 20 mA with advanced functionality (which also includes the R1 option) — so the loop can be commissioned with the handheld or a DD over the analogue pair, and the advanced diagnostics block is already enabled in firmware. The aluminium-alloy housing in the barrel style with M20 x 1.5 (CM 20) electrical entry carries the note that this head is also specified for WirelessHART adapters, and the integral LCD with integrated keypad sits on top — useful when the device is mounted at eye level on a pipe stand and local range/engineering-unit reads matter.
Lifecycle stage and sourcing posture
Lifecycle stage is recorded as current on the manufacturer record, and the estimated lead time on a fresh build is 8 to 12 weeks — a build-to-order ABB process instrument rather than a shelf item.
