Span and what it actually tells you
The 266DSHHSSA2B1L1I2: The 266DSH platform is configured here for a differential measurement at standard static pressure, with sensor span limits from 1.6 to 160 kPa — 16 to 1600 mbar, or 6.4 to 642 inH2O — so the same body covers everything from low-draft furnace pressure up to mid-range filter DP across the line. Turndown inside that envelope is the actual decision driver for a process engineer: a span centred on the normal operating DP with enough headroom on the upper end to survive a blocked-filter or slug event is what keeps the loop inside its accuracy class, not the headline range.
Wetted materials and process connection
Wetted side is AISI 316 L ss diaphragms and process flanges with PTFE gaskets, AISI 316 ss bolts, silicone oil fill — the 316 L diaphragm plus NACE-classified non-exposed bolting is the typical spec for hydrocarbon, chemical and steam-side service where corrosion or sour-service exposure is on the datasheet question list. Process connection is 1/4-18 NPT-f on a horizontal AISI 316 L ss flange adapter, which is the conventional three-valve manifold landing on most DP skids.
Output, display and housing
Output is HART plus 4 to 20 mA with the advanced functionality option, which carries the R1 software package — useful when the loop is being commissioned through a handheld or asset-management tool rather than only via the local display. The barrel-style aluminium housing carries an M20 x 1.5 electrical entry with a digital LCD and integrated keypad, so local ranging, zero trim, and tag changes happen at the instrument without breaking the loop. A stainless-steel tag and certification plate with laser-printed tag is fitted, which is the finish plants usually require for traceability on custody-transfer and Ex-area loops.
Sourcing posture
The unit is listed as current production by ABB; typical order lead time is 4 to 6 weeks against a confirmed RFQ — enough to plan a scheduled outage or a panel build, not a same-day line-down response.
