K-curve tripping for motor and inductive loads
The 2CDS272061R0427 is a 2-pole miniature circuit breaker with a K-curve tripping characteristic — magnetic trip threshold at 8–12× rated current (10 A). That makes it a fit for motor circuits, transformers, and other inductive loads where inrush current can exceed 8× the running current without being a fault. Rated short-circuit breaking capacity is 10 kA per IEC 60898 (Icn) and 25 kA per IEC 60947-2 (Icu). The Icu figure applies when the MCB is used as a motor-circuit protector under the industrial standard — the higher rating means it safely interrupts faults up to 25 kA without upstream fuse backup in that context. Rated insulation voltage is 440 V, overvoltage category III — suitable for fixed-installation distribution panels, not for equipment-level or sub-distribution use.
Panel fit and mounting
Snaps onto standard 35 mm DIN rail (EN 60715) — no tools needed for installation or removal. Dimensions are 88 mm high, 35 mm wide (2-module width), 69 mm deep. IP20 finger-safe terminals with IP40 enclosure — suitable for enclosed panels where tools are required to access live parts. Not rated for outdoor or washdown locations. Screw terminals with a max tightening torque of 2.8 Nm — standard for 10 A wire terminations up to 6 mm².
