The ABB 2TLA050056R6120 is a Sense7Z 10M safety sensor built for washdown environments. The 316 stainless steel body and IP69K protection class mean it handles high-pressure, high-temperature spray cleaning — common on food, beverage, and pharmaceutical lines where you can't have a sensor fail from a hose-down.
Two M4 mounting bolts at 1.0 Nm torque hold it. The 8-core cable needs a proper gland or connector rated for the same IP69K — don't let a cheap cable entry be the weak point that lets moisture in. Minimum switched current is 10 VDC at 1 mA, and the dielectric withstand is 250 VAC. That 1 mA minimum matters if you're switching a low-power PLC input — some safety relays won't see a dry contact that low. Ask the dumb question now: does your input card sink 1 mA reliably at 10 V? If not, add a shunt resistor or pick a different sensor.
