IE2 efficiency means this drive meets the standard efficiency level for a motor drive — it's not premium efficiency, but it's the baseline for most industrial installations where energy codes aren't pushing to IE3 or IE4. In a hot mill environment, the IP20 rating and open-type enclosure mean the drive needs clean, filtered cabinet air; it will not tolerate the radiant heat and scale dust near the furnace without additional cooling and filtration.
