Sizing against the load
The 3ABD00048306-D: The normal-use (light-overload) rating at 4 kW / 9.4 A covers pumps, fans, and conveyors that don't need sustained peak torque. The heavy-duty rating drops to 3 kW / 7.2 A — that's the number to size against for constant-torque loads like extruders or positive-displacement pumps. If your motor plate says 4 kW and the application is a crusher, you'll want to step up a frame.
Wall-mounted, Frame R1, IP21. That means it's fine for a dry, clean control room or machine cabinet — no dripping water, no conductive dust. The NEMA 1 enclosure is essentially a ventilated indoor box; if your plant floor sees coolant mist or flour dust, you'll need to either relocate it or add a separate enclosure.
