Drive module sizing and duty ratings
The ABB 3ABD00050632 is an ACS380 series LV AC machinery drive module in frame size R2, designed for 3-phase 380-480 V supply over 47.5-63 Hz. Normal-use output is 5.5 kW at 12.6 A; heavy-duty use derates to 4 kW at 9.4 A. Light-overload use is rated 5.5 kW at 12 A. The module carries an IE2 efficiency classification and IP20 protection.
Duty cycle selection
The two duty ratings let you match the drive to the load profile: normal-use 5.5 kW / 12.6 A for constant-torque applications like conveyors or pumps, heavy-duty 4 kW / 9.4 A for higher starting torque or cyclic overloads. The light-overload rating at 12 A sits between them. Pick the rating that covers your motor's full-load amps without oversizing.
