Duty ratings — normal, heavy, and light-overload curves
The 3AXD50000158959: Three operating curves are defined. Normal use (Pn) delivers 450 kW at 470 A. Heavy-duty use (PhD) drops to 400 kW at 415 A — that's the constant-torque limit for tough mechanical loads. Light-overload use (PlD) stays at 450 kW but at 455 A (IlD), which suggests a slight current headroom over the normal curve. UL ratings mirror the IEC figures: 450 Hp / 455 A for light-overload, 450 Hp / 415 A for heavy-duty. The apparent power output is 562 kV·A, so the drive can handle a fair amount of reactive load before hitting the current limit.
I/O and communication — keep it simple
The module includes a control unit. Analog I/O: 2 inputs, 2 outputs. Digital I/O: 6 inputs, 2 outputs. Communication is CAN — no onboard Industrial Ethernet (0 hardware interfaces).
