250 A molded case switch — TMF 250-2500 trip block
The ABB A2A250TW is a 3-pole molded case switch rated for 250 A continuous, fitted with a TMF 250-2500 thermal-magnetic trip block. This is the same platform used across the A2A series for panelboard and switchboard feeder disconnects. The TMF designation means the trip unit combines a thermal element for overload protection with a magnetic element for short-circuit response — the 250-2500 range covers the adjustable magnetic pickup from 250 A up to 2500 A, giving selectivity headroom downstream.

For a line-down or MRO spare, this is a broker-sourced part: quantities are lot-specific and confirmed at RFQ. The TMF trip block is field-replaceable, so a used unit with a good trip block can still serve as a drop-in spare for an existing A2A 250 frame.
