What the 150 A / 25 kA rating means for your panel
The A2N150TW-2: Rated 150 A continuous per pole with a 25 kA interrupting capacity at 480 V — that's the short-circuit current it can safely clear without welding contacts or rupturing the housing. The thermal-magnetic trip curve (TMF 150-1500) gives you an adjustable magnetic pickup range from 150 A to 1500 A, so you can set the instantaneous trip point above the motor inrush without losing coordination with the downstream branch.
Panel fit and integration notes
2-pole construction in the A2N 250 frame — occupies a standard DIN-rail footprint with line and load lugs sized for 4/0 AWG copper. The thermal-magnetic mechanism is self-powered; no auxiliary control voltage needed for the trip function. The 25 kA SCCR at 480 V means it can be used as a main disconnect in a panel with a fault current up to that level, but verify the series rating with the downstream breakers if you're coordinating a fully rated system.
