What it is and where it fits
The ABB ACS355-03E-46A2-2 is a machinery-class general-purpose drive from the ACS355 family, intended for cabinet building rather than wall mounting and shipped as an IP20 open-type module in an R4 frame. Supply side is fixed at 200–240 V three-phase 50/60 Hz, with EMC filtering on board — the 03E code in the part number is the family marker for 3-phase supply with the EMC filter connected at 50 Hz.
What the cabinet builder actually has to lay out
The R4 mechanical envelope is 169 mm wide × 244 mm high × 260 mm deep, so a standard 200 mm cabinet cutout with side clearance for airflow is the rough target; the depth is the dimension that bites you on back-plate work, not the width. Net mass is 5.4 kg against 6.5 kg shipping, which means the drive is comfortably a one-person lift onto a backplate — no panel-reinforcement conversation needed at this frame size. IP20 open type means the panel builder is responsible for the rest of the enclosure rating; this module will not survive a washdown room on its own and should not be specified as the outer skin of a floor-standing cabinet.
The rating that drives the BOM decision
On 200–240 V three-phase the 46.2 A continuous output is the figure a panel builder has to match against motor FLA, not the 11 kW nameplate. The input window is 200–240 V, so a plant on the 4-class input range cannot accept this code; a cabinet wired for higher-voltage three-phase needs the matching 4-class sibling, not this one.
