The ABB ACS580-01-03A4 is a wall-mounted frequency converter rated for three-phase 380-480 V input, 50/60 Hz. It carries an IP21 degree of protection and a NEMA Type 1 enclosure, so it's suited for clean indoor environments — no washdown, no dust. Active in production, this is the current-generation drive for standard variable-torque loads like pumps and fans.
IP21 means it's drip-proof but not dust-tight — keep it in a panel or electrical room. For a simple standalone install, the RS-485 MODBUS RTU is enough. For a networked line, you'll add a fieldbus adapter module.
