Long motor cable runs demand a dV/dt or sine filter sized to the drive's switching — without one, reflected-wave overvoltage at the motor terminals will shorten winding insulation life on a standard induction motor. Mount the drive close to the motor feeder entry and keep the motor cable run inside the manufacturer's published limit for the frame; if the run is forced long, a dV/dt filter is cheaper than a rewind.
