What the 414 A rating means for fit
The AF400-30-11-70 is a 3-pole across-the-line contactor rated at 414 A continuous. That 414 A is the thermal current (Ith) — the current the main poles can carry continuously without exceeding the temperature rise limit. For motor switching, the AC-3 rating will be lower; the 414 A figure tells you the contactor is sized for a heavy load bus or a large motor feeder, not a small pump. The 550 A per-pole figure in the description is the peak make/break capacity for short-duration events like motor inrush.
Coil voltage and auxiliary contacts
Coil accepts 100-250 V AC or DC — wide-range coil that simplifies panel wiring across different control voltages. The 1 NO + 1 NC auxiliary contacts are built in; no separate aux block needed for basic status feedback or interlocking.
