What the 115 A rating means for fit
The ABB AF96-30-00-13 is a 3-pole IEC contactor in the AF-Line series, built on the AF140 frame. Its 115 A motor current rating (130 A general purpose) tells you it's sized for a motor load drawing that current in AC-3 duty — think a 55 kW induction motor at 400 V, or a 75 hp motor at 480 V. The 120 VAC control coil is wide-range (100-250 VAC/VDC per the description), so it holds in during brownout conditions better than a fixed-voltage coil would.
The 3-pole power circuit handles up to 600 V rated voltage. The wide-range coil (100-250 VAC/VDC) simplifies control transformer selection — you don't need a tight tap for this contactor.
