What the ratings tell a panel builder
The BC7-30-10-07: This is a DC-operated mini contactor with a 12 VDC coil, three normally-open main contacts and one normally-open auxiliary contact. The 12 VDC coil means it pulls in cleanly on low-voltage DC control circuits common in battery-backed or PLC-driven panels — but verify your control supply can deliver the inrush without droop, because a 12 VDC coil that sees 10.5 V at peak draw may chatter. Rated at 5.5 kW at 380/400/440 V three-phase, so it handles a 5.5 kW motor at 400 V or a 5 HP motor at 480 V.
