On-site swap: the EHDB280 contactor lives inside the dynamic braking circuit of a DC drive cabinet. Before pulling the contact kit, verify the DC-link capacitors have discharged — the braking circuit can hold lethal voltage even with main power off. The two pole NO configuration means both sets of contacts open together; check for free movement of the contact carrier after installation. No special tools beyond a screwdriver and torque wrench for the main terminal bolts.
