Built-in disconnect and temperature compensation
The MS497-63 includes a built-in disconnect function — it isolates the motor from the supply when switched to OFF, so you can work downstream without a separate isolating switch ahead of the starter. Temperature compensation adjusts the thermal trip curve to match ambient changes inside the panel — prevents nuisance tripping on hot days and still protects the motor when the panel cools down.
