The ABB S201-C13 is a 1-pole miniature circuit breaker rated 13 A with Trip Curve C, designed for 277 VAC circuits and a 6 kA interrupting capacity. The 13 A rating means it protects branch circuits carrying continuous loads up to that current — sized for lighting, receptacle, or small motor circuits where the wire gauge and load match that ampacity. The 6 kA interrupting rating at 277 VAC means it can safely interrupt a fault current up to 6,000 A — adequate for most residential and light commercial panelboards fed by a transformer under 75 kVA, but check your available fault current if the panel is close to a larger service.
Single-pole width means it occupies one module — 17.5 mm — so it fits tight retrofit panels where space is at a premium. Terminal design accepts copper conductors up to 25 mm², typical for 13 A branch circuits on 2.5 mm² or 4 mm² wire.
The S201M-C3 is the same 1-pole DIN-rail form factor but rated 3 A instead of 13 A. Both use Trip Curve C and share the 277 VAC / 6 kA interrupting rating. The S201-C13 will not drop into a panel wired for the S201M-C3 unless the branch circuit and load are re-specified for 13 A — the breaker protects the wire, not the other way around. If your BOM calls for 13 A, the S201-C13 is the correct part; the S201M-C3 is a different ampacity tier.
