The ABB S201-K10 is a 1-pole miniature circuit breaker from the S200 series, rated 10 A with a K-curve trip characteristic and a 6 kA interrupting capacity at 277 VAC. It's a UL 1077 listed supplemental protector — meaning it's intended for branch-circuit backup or equipment-level protection, not as a main service disconnect. The K-curve holds through moderate inrush (typically 8–12x rated current) before tripping magnetically, which suits inductive loads like small motors, transformers, or solenoid banks where a C-curve might nuisance-trip on startup.
Compared to the 2-pole S202M-C10, the S201-K10 is a single-pole device with a K-curve instead of C-curve. The S202M-C10 offers 125 VDC interrupting and a second pole for 2-wire DC or split-phase AC circuits, but the K-curve on the S201-K10 gives it a tighter magnetic trip band — better for protecting loads with moderate inrush without oversizing. If your panel calls for a 1-pole K-curve at 10 A, the S202M-C10 won't drop in without rewiring; it's a different pole count and trip curve.
Snaps onto standard 35 mm DIN rail. The 1-pole footprint takes one module width (approx. 17.5 mm) — useful for tight panel layouts where every slot counts. Wire termination accepts copper conductors up to 25 mm² (solid or stranded). Torque terminal screws to 2.5 Nm. No auxiliary contact slot on this base unit; add an S2C-A1 accessory if remote status signaling is needed.
