What the K-curve means for fit
The S201-K4A: The K-characteristic is the key spec here. It's designed to handle the inrush of motor loads and transformers without nuisance tripping — magnetic trip at 8–12x rated current, compared to the B-curve's 3–5x or C-curve's 5–10x. If you're protecting a pump, conveyor drive, or small transformer secondary, the K-curve is the right call. A B-curve would trip on startup; a D-curve might let a fault through before opening.
