DC Branch Protection with Curve K Response
The ABB S201DC-K2 is a single-pole DC miniature circuit breaker rated for 60 A continuous current at 60 V DC, with a Trip Curve K characteristic and a 10 kA interrupting capacity at the rated voltage. Curve K provides a magnetic trip threshold of 8 to 12 times rated current, designed to handle the high inrush from DC motor drives, solenoids, and transformer-coupled loads without nuisance tripping on startup. The 10 kA interrupting capacity at 60 V DC means this breaker can safely clear a bolted fault up to that level on a DC bus, which is critical for protecting downstream wiring and equipment in battery banks, UPS systems, or solar combiner boxes.
Panel Integration and Mounting
Snaps onto standard 35 mm DIN rail per EN 60715, occupying a single 18 mm module width — fits existing distribution boards and sub-panels without adapter brackets. The 1-pole form factor means it protects one DC conductor (positive or negative leg); paired units on both poles are needed for ungrounded DC systems.
