Supplemental protector for motor and inductive loads
The ABB S202-K25 is a 25 A, 2-pole miniature circuit breaker with a K-trip curve, rated at 277 VAC and a 6 kA interrupting capacity. It's classified as a UL 1077 supplemental protector — meaning it's intended for internal circuit protection within equipment, not as a service-entrance main breaker. The K-curve (typically 8–12x In magnetic trip) is specifically designed to handle the inrush of motor loads, transformers, and solenoid valves without nuisance tripping, while still providing short-circuit protection. Per the datasheet, the 6 kAIC at 277 VAC is the maximum fault current it can safely interrupt under standard test conditions.
DIN-rail integration and panel fit
Snaps onto standard 35 mm DIN rail per EN 60715. The 2-pole footprint occupies two 17.5 mm modular units — 35 mm total width. Spring-cage terminals accept 0.5–25 mm² conductors; strip length 8–10 mm. No additional mounting hardware required for panel integration.
