32 A, Trip Curve K — fit and interrupting capacity
The ABB S202-K32 is a 2-pole miniature circuit breaker rated at 32 A with a Trip Curve K characteristic, designed for DIN-rail mounting in control panels and distribution boards. The 32 A rating supports motor and inductive loads where high inrush currents are expected — Curve K provides magnetic trip between 8 and 12 times rated current, so it holds through motor starting surges without nuisance tripping while still clearing a hard fault. At 277 VAC, the interrupting capacity is 6 kA, which per the datasheet is sufficient for branch-circuit protection in most commercial and light industrial panels where the available fault current stays under that threshold. The UL 1077 listing (supplemental protection) means this breaker is intended for use within equipment, not as a service-entrance disconnect — a distinction that matters for compliance documentation in UL 508A panels.
DIN-rail integration and panel fit
Mounts on standard 35 mm DIN rail per EN 60715. The 2-pole width occupies two modular units (36 mm), so it drops into the same slot as a S202M-C25 without rewiring — the footprint, busbar pitch, and terminal layout are identical across the S200 series. Spring-cage terminals accept 0.5–25 mm² conductors; strip length 10 mm.
