The ABB S202-K6 is a 2-pole DIN-rail miniature circuit breaker from the S200 series, rated 6 A with a K-curve trip characteristic, 277 VAC, and 6 kA interrupting capacity. It is classified as a UL 1077 supplemental protector — meaning it protects downstream equipment, not the branch circuit itself, so it goes after a listed branch-circuit overcurrent device. The K-curve (10–14x In magnetic trip) is deliberately slower than B or C curves, sized for loads with moderate inrush like motor starters, solenoid valves, or small transformers where nuisance tripping on energization is the concern.
Compliance and approvals
Listed under UL 1077 (Supplemental Protectors) and CSA 22.2 No. 235. RoHS and REACH compliance documentation is standard with the shipment. No marine or IEC 60947-2 rating on this variant — it is a UL 1077 supplemental, not a full branch-circuit MCCB. For IEC-rated applications, check the corresponding S200 series IEC version.
Panel integration
Snaps onto standard 35 mm DIN rail. The 2-pole width occupies two module spaces (36 mm). Spring-cage terminals accept 0.5–25 mm² solid or stranded copper. Torque to 2.5 Nm. No busbar bridging required for single-pole protection; for multi-pole ganged switching, use the S200 series busbar comb.
